SUSTAINABLE GARDEN DESIGN BY ELLEN PETERSON

Sustainable landscaping applies sound economic principles to ecologically friendly landscape ideas and practices. The goal is to create healthy, aesthetically pleasing landscapes that reduce pollution, improve and conserve the local environment, and are economically viable. It seeks to create balanced landscapes that provide habitat for local and migratory animals, enrich biodiversity, conserve native plants and improve water quality. Benefits include healthier and longer living plants, a reduction in maintenance time and expense, the elimination of fertilizer and pesticide use, and a reduction in water use.

I envision sustainable landscape and garden design as the means in which art and nature work together in harmony, as when all the instruments in a symphony orchestra combine to create beautiful music. My goal is to combine beautiful creative design with a passionate commitment to environmental stewardship. I strive to create delightful gardens for my clients that will connect them Simply With Nature.
